The Story of Twin City Farmers Market

In early spring 2023, Whitney Manson, Jessika Zontini, and Laura Gray came together with a shared vision: to create a food-focused farmers market in the Twin City area, where access to fresh, local food was limited.

After countless hours of planning and dreaming, the trio turned their vision into reality. Their goal was simple but powerful: to bring a vibrant, high-quality farmers market to the heart of their community.

The inaugural season of the Uhrichsville Farmers Market launched in 2023, featuring over 20 vendors and drawing weekly crowds of 300 to 400 visitors. The market quickly became a local favorite, offering more than just fresh food—it featured live music, food trucks, a dining area, and a green space filled with games, creating a welcoming atmosphere for families and friends to gather.

Entering the market’s third season, our board made the decision to move to a new location and rebrand the market to be inclusive of our community. With our new home on N. 4th Street in downtown Dennison, the Twin City Farmers Market can remain focused on serving the community the way we intended to.

As we start our 2025 season, we continue to expand the services offered at the market to better serve the community. New offerings include SNAP/EBT benefits, Produce Perks, WIC Coupons, UFM tokens (debit/credit), Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program )SFMNP) making fresh, local food more accessible to all. Additionally, TCFM will host free classes and live demonstrations, equipping visitors with skills to support a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle. 

At its heart, the Twin City Farmers Market is about more than food—it’s about community. It’s about connection, education, and building a stronger, healthier future for everyone.
